Neal A. Deutsch, CFP is President and founder of the Chestnut Investment Group, Inc. in 1989, located in Suffern, New York. He has been working in the Financial and Investment business since 1984. As well as attaining the designation of Certified Financial Planner in 1991, he is fully licensed in securities, (FINRA Series 7,63,65,24) insurance, and is a Registered Securities Principal.
Neal works with each client to determine his or her specific aims, goals and objectives. Once that has been determined, he educates his clients in the areas necessary to help the client accomplish their objectives through the use of trusts, asset allocation, tax strategies, pension programs and proper money management. Well versed in complex estate planning including business and family planning issues, he specializes in helping his clients identify their needs, and establishing a program with his in-house team of attorneys, accountants and money managers to achieve them. Family and inter-generational planning is a subject dealt with regularly, as well as business and retirement planning.
Neal is a regular columnist with Rivertown Magazine in New York, and has been seen on FoxNews and FoxBusiness.com for his expertise in retirement planning. He was selected by thestreet.com for their series "Successful Entrepreneurs in the USA" for the financial field, and has been named in The Heritage of Who's Who from 2008-2011. He was chosen by Hudson Valley Magazine to be included in their list of "Select Wealth Managers" in 2012 and 2013, a small, elite group nominated for exemplary service and client satisfaction. He has authored hundreds of articles on various areas of the financial services industry, and is a frequent speaker at seminars and workshops. Neal is the author of "Tales From the Chestnut Tree," his book filled with stories and education from his almost 30 years in the business, "where financial planning meets real life."
He was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Westchester/Rockland/Fairfield Chapter of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP), now known as the Financial Planning Association (FPA) for 6 years and is an Investment Advisor Representative and Registered Representative with First Allied Securities, Inc. He was on the First Allied Advisory Council, and Chairman for 3 of the 5 years served.
