Things Wealthy People Commit To… Do YOU?

The old saying "the grass is always greener in the other guys (or girls) yard" is a bit overdone in my opinion. While some wealthy people have inherited their wealth, my experience is most that I work with are self-made... they did it themselves. While they all took a different route, the destination was the same... financial independence. Yes, while they all took a different route, they did have some common core connections amongst them. How many do you identify with?

THEY KNEW THEY WERE GOING TO MAKE IT. Never for a minute in the grueling climb to the top did they for one minute take their eye off the brass ring. They set a goal, formed a plan and charged forward. Yes, the plan changed and bent and twisted, but the overall goal never did- to become financially independent.

GO BIG OR GO HOME. Wealthy people don't think small- it takes too much time for too little reward, Most people tend to think small, as they are afraid to think big, Bigger business, Bigger income. Bigger life. Although they say good things come in small packages, it usually applies to friends, spouses and diamonds- not usually success or wealth.

WEALTHY PEOPLE DONT LET THINGS GET IN THE WAY. It's easy to make excuses as to why you can't do something. It's too big, it's too heavy, it's too hard. If you spend as much time thinking about HOW you can get it done as opposed to why you CANT get it done, it would be done already!

I CANT. Quite simply, wealthy people don't use the words " I CANT." It doesn't exist- there's no reason for it. If you set your mind to doing something, then just go and do it. Nike© was right...

FOCUS ON NET WORTH, NOT EARNINGS. Net worth is everything you own less everything you owe (liabilities). It's not the same as what you earn- income usually goes out as fast as it comes in. It's what STAYS in that counts.

SUCCESS IS A BALANCE BETWEEN WORK AND PLAY. If you've become a workaholic and believe the way to vast wealth is through working 24/7, you've got the wrong idea. What good is being successful if you don't give yourself time to enjoy it? There's nothing more important as your family and your health- give them both equal time.

Nobody said it was going to be easy... but if you set your goals, keep your eyes on the prize and zig when you need to zag when you have to, you'll be on the road to being very rich- both in money, ethics and personality... and "don't worry, be happy!"
